The Dubai Mall is part of the US $20 billion Downtown Burj Dubai development, which is being built by Emaar Properties. Construction work started in 2004, and is one of the biggest malls in the world, with over 1200 shops and the largest in the region in terms of shops. www.thedubaimall.com/en
