Do you have an idea for how we could make Panogio better?
Perhaps you have found something that don't work as supposed?

I think this website is great, I don't know why it's so empty. I can think of 3 things that would improve the website. 1st: the ability to add vertical panoramas. 2nd: Being able to zoom out without scrolling down. Whenever I zoom into a panorama and then try to zoom out again, the page scrolls down and it gets pretty annoying. Maybe you can add a zoom control that doesn't require scrolling? 3rd: Being able to click and drag the placemark to show where the panorama was taken. I know I can put in coordinates but I don't know how to find out coordinates for specific places.

Welcome to Panogio krp! Nice to see all the panoramas you uploaded. Specially like the one with the sunset and the one from San Rafael Reef - great work.

Appreciate the suggested improvements. The first is really embarrassing, I think I have set some upload limits that prohibits uploading vertical panoramas. Did not mean to do that. Will change it so that you can upload "vertoramas". I have planned a redesign of the panorama page so that it has different layout depending on the type of panorama. I will make a special layout for the vertical I think. Thanks!

The zooming without scrolling is also a great comment. You could use the alt and the shift keys to zoom and that should not scroll the webpage. Actually zooming with the mouse wheel shouldn't scroll the page either as long as the mouse pointer is over the panorama image. Isn't that the case in your browser? Let me know if it works differently and I look into it.

Your third comment I believe should already work as you expect. Aren't you able to place a marker on the map simply by clicking on it? Except for clicking on the map and typing in the coordinates your panoramas position are automatically placed on the map from the City you enter as a sort of fall back solution... Once again let me know if there is a problem and if so what operating system and browser you are using so I can try to reproduce the error.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm using google chrome on windows vista. I tried internet explorer and the zooming works like you said. Google chrome is kind of new and I've noticed bugs on other websites as well. I also thought of one more improvement. It would be nice if you could set a default country, camera, and program. That way you wouldn't have to type all that information in every type you upload. Thanks for the great website.

I'm using Chrome on Mac most of the time but I will have a look at it in windows during the weekend.

The default values is a great idea. I will look in to that as well.

It is time for us in the old world to sleep. Thanks once again for the input and don't hesitate to contact me if you come across something strange.
